Barth is the granddaddy of all cast iron roasters.  Circa 1968 - they are the most heavy built machines ever made -more than the well known Probat and Gothot. Even the fan housings are cast iron.  While that makes for an expensive fan - it also makes for a really quiet fan . Barth  might be considered  expensive , but they held their value as they were also built for generations of use.  

This is best described as rebuild projects. Even though it is running and running perfectly, it is time to restore them back to original.  Maybe not every bearing needs to be replaced at this time as none of them are making any noise. But if you going to move this machine, the move timing makes it an opportunity to do all the refurbishing at the time of the move.  That is just my opinion.

As you can see, the roaster dumps to the side and the massive gas valve and fan assist is totally overkill. But with a visible manometer built in, you can adjust your gas heat level to an exact amount.  Barth roasters use indirect heat  so the entire roasting chamber is heated as the over sized exhaust fan pulls hot air right through the middle of the rotating roasting chamber. There is such good heat circulation that it is common to get 5 roasts per hour with these machines.

SPACE . . . Allow 9 feet front to back and 10 feet side to side.  There needs to be room to roll out the cooler for cleaning etc. as it is mounted on nice little tracks for easy moving.  Plan for over 8.5 feet tall and don't forget to allow room to connect the air conveyor.
