Description   PHOTOVOLT 580 RCCS  ( Roast Color Classification System)  is a product that is the result of a study by an old line company that has been in this color analysis study longer that Agtron.  As the coffee industry grew, so did its needs for management of this color analysis.  The need for a compact unit, perhaps wall mounted, surfaced.  PHOTOVOLT has developed its new model that is the smallest footprint in the industry as being more user friendly.  It features REFLECTANCE method of reading the profile changes of the whole bean or the ground coffee.  (This assumes that a reading was made when the coffee first arrived so that the external characteristics were noted for any observed aging .) READING HEAD is now viewed in a 3" concentrated surface. 1. Push the yellow button on the reading head and the SCAA classifications     aka as Agtron numbers appear on the reader as well as the     International numbers created by the National Institute of     Standards and Technology... total tracing ability of NIST 2  Enables you to discuss readings with larger world audience 3. Same yellow button that is pushed allows creates an Excel spread sheet     format to your PC or to an online data collection point. AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL is built into its system.  It has electronic stability in its package and operates with external power supply.  CE compliance rating.  FLEXIBILITY 1. Stands vertical with 10" wide and 8" wide face with 2 sets of reading     number sets.   2. Has all plug in devices on front of unit- only 4" deep.  3. Stands Up or wall mounted ability 4. The 3" reader module attached to coil cord that stretches to 12 feet.     Perfect for lab or plant usage.  5 Optional larger reader available for others to view readings.  6.
